Common Core Alignment
Every Math Art lesson is mapped to one or more Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. Each standard below links out to its entry on corestandards.org, and lists the Math Art lessons that teach it.
The standards span grades 2 to 8 because several projects deliberately introduce concepts that Common Core formally places in later grades, so a 4th-grade lesson can be a hands-on first encounter with a 7th- or 8th-grade idea.

Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
